Hi! I've never played at southern commands and I read that kids under 15 need a parent or guardian to play and I was wondering if the parent had to actually play in the game.

all they have to do is sign the waiver, they don't have to play unless they want too

NO, the parent NEEDS to be at the game at least if under 15 y/o.
should be playing the game, to wacth over the child.
