Adding to the field!!!!

As some of you know we are currently playing on our "North Field", which until this year was barren and had no structure on it. The overall topography of the field is great having the numerous elevation changes and different environments but without good structure its pretty tough to play all the fun scenarios we are used to at the other field. So since we started back on this field weve been working hard to improve it by adding 11 pallet bunkers on top of the open hill and now ive started the construction of a full on fort inspired by this place http://www.eliteactiongames.com/dorking/index.html. Now we at southcom dont have the money and years invested that those guys do but were going to do our best to improve what we have. Ill be adding pictures of the forts as they spring up. I also want to say thank you to my wife for spending the day out on the field helping build the newest fort. Thanks to cillercarl aka Mr Koser, Dj and Brendan too for all your help.

So we got the fort done for the most part with the camo tarp roof and all. We will add some approach bunkers before playing the next game day.

I went out to the field today to find that our big bunker on the top of the hill was blown over again. The way it was built was like a big sail for all that wind blowing across the open field. So I stood it back up and redesigned it a little for strength.

I also added a couple hiding spots for approaching the new fort in the woods. Ill be back on the field again tomorrow adding more.

A trench system would be awesome. If it was lining a small base. Like a small base surrounded by a trench system at the bottom of the hill would be great! It would certainly open up to some great possibilities for games! But digging the trenches would suck if you didn't have any real machinery out there.
