Panhandle airsoft will be hosting its 2012 Team Challenge May 12, 2012 at Southern Command. This field located in Crestview, FL (just 10 min. North of I10 on Hwy 85). Teams will be competing against teams from all over Florida Panhandle as well as Alabama and Georgia. This event will be a double elimination event using a true competition bracket system. This event is open anyone of playing age. Preregistration will Begin March 30, at the cost of $25 per person and will stay open until May 10. There will be a limit of 9 slots for this competition, so only 9 teams will be allowed to compete.
This event will pit team versus team in an open field timed battle. In this competition there will only one stage, consisting of the open CQB section of the SC field. Teams will start at random corners of the field to ensure that there is not typical field of fire. Ammo will be limited to eliminate the spray and pray types of play, focusing more on technique and accuracy. Also the use of smoke grenades is permitted and would be a great asset.
There will be a judges assigned to each corner of the field to ensure that the first hit is called as soon as it happens. At the sound of the horn operators will engage and have a 10 minute time limit to engage and take out the opposing operator. To keep this from being a spray fest, an ammo limit of 90 rounds per magazine with a 10 mag limit per player. Players will also be permitted 10 rounds in addition for sidearm if so equipped, with a max of 5 magazines.
Rules are basic and simple! Call your hit as soon as it happens if you are observed to disregarding a hit than you can and will be eliminated from the event. Gun FPS limits is 400fps for both primary and secondary weapon. Because of this high limit it is mandatory for all players under the age of 18 to wear full face protection. If you do not have full face gear we will have loaners on site to ensure your protection. A hit to any part of the body counts as a kill and the team with the most remaining players at the end of the 10 declares the win.
While you wait there will be three options to participants. There will be a target range set up to enable players to sight in their weapons. There will be woods games set up so that all players wishing to play will have games running the entire time the event is going on. Matches will be time based so it is up to the individual teams to be on time to their match. Any late participants will forfeit their match. So be on time. Last but not least, there will be plenty of room to view the matches as they take place.
Prizes:
There will be a raffle for all participants. This will include 1 – Classic Army LWRC M6, 1 – Reflex R/G dot sight, and 1 – Magpul Art of the Tactical Handgun. The winning team of the Team Challenge will receive each a Panhandle Airsoft Infidel Tee and 2012 Team Challenge medallion. All players that pre-register will receive 3 raffle tickets, and those that register after May 10th will receive only 1 raffle ticket. Extra raffle tickets will be on sale during registration at the price of $5.00.

Q: can I be on more than one team?
A: Yes - players can be on more than one team. Each additional team you are on is an extra $10.00.

Q: Can I make up a team for the challenge or do they have to be an existing team?
A: Any one can make up a team! This is all in fun so we love to see teams of people who have never played before.

Q: what can I do between my matchups?
